The relaxing atmosphere of the Kintail Bar is an ideal location for really "Good Pub Grub" but if it is a special occasion then enjoy eating in the Conservatory Restaurant where you can dine in ultimate peace overlooking the loch and garden (summer months only).

In the Dining Room our menus take full advantage of fresh local produce. From the sea; Scottish scallops, langoustines, monkfish and haddock. From the hill; local venison, beef and hill-lamb, lovingly prepared for you by our top class-chefs. During the summer our outside BBQs have the perfect garden setting, just yards from the sea overlooking Glenelg bay and the hills of Skye. Our wine cellar is well stocked as is our bar where we keep a good range of excellent Single Malts. The Bar has regular entertainment with ‘live’ music and quiz nights and is open throughout the year.

The Wagon Cafe is a great place to come and spend some time in amongst the hills of Glenbeag. We make real coffee, delicious hot chocolate and home baked cakes. On a rainy day, while sheltering in our yurt you might find some locally made crafts as well. You will find us a few miles past Glenelg village near the Dun Trodden Broch, right opposite our roadside honesty box where you can also pick up seasonal vegetables and salads. Closed on Fridays and Saturdays.

Drive over the hill from Glenelg and turn left at Shiel Bridge and you will find the Jac-o-Bite Restaurant, located with fabulous views on the edge of Loch Duich. The Jac-o-Bite is a traditional, family run Scottish restaurant, specialising in fresh local fish (seafood when available) local game and British lamb and beef with daily “Special” boards. Enjoy a full Scottish breakfast, coffee with home baking, lunch or a full evening meal.

The Cafe is right in the heart of Glenelg village. A perfect place to get delicious coffee, cake and lunch throughout the year. We make everything from scratch, with love - our bread, our cakes, our daily changing lunch menu and our coffee. Open Mon - Sat in season and Fri & Sat in winter.

We also screen films in the hall throughout the year as Way Out West Picturehouse. Our programme is diverse, ranging from art house to blockbuster films.

10 miles past Glenelg you walk over the bridge into Corran to find a tiny row of cottages. You have come to the end of the road! THE GLENELG INN serves local produce and seafood. They have frequent music sessions, a great atmosphere, lovely beer garden and wine list.

THE WAY OUT WEST CAFE in the Glenelg Villgae Hall. A perfect place to get delicious coffee, home baked cakes and lunch throughout the year.

THE WAGON by the Pictish Brochs (Glenbeag) sells real coffee and homemade cakes. Also sells fresh organic vegetables and salads in season.

SHEENA'S “TEA HUT” for a cuppa and cake in Corran with spectacular views over Loch Hourn to Knoydart.

 

LOCAL AREA

BETH'S CAFE in Balmacara Square is open all day for breakfasts, lunches, coffee and home baking

Just over the hill and turn left for the KINTAIL LODGE where you will find an excellent variety of bar meals and also the Conservatory Restaurant for those special treats.

The coffee shop at EILEAN DONAN CASTLE is open during the day.

The Clachan in Dornie provides quality seasonal dishes using fresh seafood (landed daily at Dornie jetty opposite the bar) & local produce.

The Cluanie Inn is in Glen Shiel and due to it's location has a menu loaded with fish and game. The Inn is open all year

THE WATERSIDE RESTAURANT on the station in Kyle specialises in seafood.

THE WAVERLEY on the main street in Kyle is open in the evenings for dinners.

PLOCKTON has a variety of places to eat, from takeaways to hotels and restaurants.
