THE GLENELG AND ARNISDALE TOURIST INFORMATION GUIDE

Why we made the visitor guide

Why would we build an online guide for just two small villages?

The simple answer is that we don't want you to miss anything!!

Coming to Glenelg and not going on the Skye Ferry - missing the amazing scenery along the road to Arnisdale - not getting the chance to see our local Otters, Sea Eagles or Pine Martens (if you're lucky) - taking in the stunning isolation of Sandaig - tasting those fantastic home made cakes at The Wagon or a feast of local produce, cooked to perfection, at the Glenelg Inn.

We just want to make sure you know these things are here!

So to help you find out about the Glenelg and Arnisdale area and also some of the great places where you can stay when you come for a holiday or short break, a few like-minded local residents came together to build this online guide. It is a "work in progress", which is a fancy way of saying, there are things we still have to add and a few we may have forgotten! The website design, technical help, content writing and photography have all been done or donated on a voluntary basis. It has no outside organisational influences and is funded purely by the accommodation and businesses that advertise within. Any excess funds not required for the domain fee, hosting or advertising costs will be used to help promote the Glenelg and Arnisdale area “in the interest of tourism”.
